Obtaining the product files from the download site

SCO UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.1+IP NonStop Clusters  is contained in the following files on the SCO download site:

 

492-000-102DL.html

The product's Getting Started guide (this document)

492-000-102DL.cpio.Z

A compressed cpio archive containing the product installable images

 

Download all of the above files, and save them in a temporary location on your system. The following assumes

The directory /NSCSYS is created and used.

Once you have all of these files, you need to unpack the product installable images.  To do this, enter the following commands:

        uncompress 492-000-102DL.cpio.Z
        cpio -icvdBum < 492-000-102DL.cpio

 

Installing the product

Once you have obtained and unpacked the relevant product files from the SCO download site, please follow the product installation instructions given in /NSCSYS/README.html

 

Note that when installing the sets, replace:
 
"pkgadd -d cdrom1"
with
"pkgadd -d /NSCSYS".
 
And where instructions state:
 
“mount the CD-ROM in /mnt and do the following: pkgadd -d /mnt/SLS”
 
replace this with
 
"pkgadd -d /NSCSYS/SLS".
