    Data Center Feature Supplement

The DCAP Feature Supplement is a bundle of features developed by SCO under the Data Center Acceleration Program to address the needs of the Data Center. The following features are included:

System Requirements

This supplement runs and is supported on UnixWare 7, Release 7.1.1 only.

Installation

  1. Download the vm16fs.image.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine.
  2. As root, uncompress the file and add the vm16fs package to your system using these commands:
               $ su
               Password: 
               # uncompress /tmp/vm16fs.image.Z
               # pkgadd -d /tmp/vm16fs.image
               # rm /tmp/vm16fs.image
    
    
    Alternatively, this package may be installed in quiet mode, that is, without displaying the release notes and asking for installation confirmation. To do this, use these commands:
               $ su
               Password: 
               # uncompress /tmp/vm16fs.image.Z
               # pkgadd -qd /tmp/vm16fs.image
               # rm /tmp/vm16fs.image
    
  3. Reboot the system after installing this package.
  4. Execute
               /usr/man/bin/config_search -f
    
    to update the SCOhelp search engine's index files to include the documents installed by this supplement. The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in:
           /var/sadm/pkg/vm16fs/install/vm16fs.txt
    

Removal instructions

  1. As root, remove the vm16fs package using these commands:
    
               $ su
               Password: 
               # pkgrm vm16fs
    
    
  2. Reboot the system after removing this package.
