Obtaining the product files from the download site

Squid for UnixWare 7 is contained in the following files on the SCO download site:

DL40000P000.html

The product's Getting Started guide (this document)

DL40001P000.html

The product's Release Notes document

DL40004P000.tar

A tar(C,1) format file containing the product installable images

Download all of the above files, and save them in a temporary location on your system, for example, /tmp.

Once you have all of these files, you need to unpack the product installable images. To do this, enter the following command:

tar xvof DL40004P000.tar

This will create a file called squid.pkg in your current working directory. Unpacking product files is now complete, and you are ready to install the product.

Installing the product

Once you have obtained and unpacked the relevant product files from the SCO download site, please follow the product installation instructions given in the product's Release Notes document.
