Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf4034b, the SCO UnixWare confmgr and PCI Supplement, addresses a problem where the addition of a second PCI bridge adapter changes PCI bus numbers, resulting in the primary boot controller not being found. It also corrects a problem where resmgr fields are not getting updated correctly after adding additional adapters in the system. Software Notes and Recommendations ---------------------------------- SLS ptf4034b should only be installed on: SCO UnixWare Application Server Release 2.1.3 SCO UnixWare Personal Edition Release 2.1.3 Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. Create a pkg directory in the /tmp directory. # mkdir /tmp/pkg 2. Download the ptf4034b.Z and ptf4034b.txt files to the newly created /tmp/pkg directory on your machine. 3. Read the Release Notes contained in the ptf4034b.txt file. 4. Uncompress the ptf4034b.Z file and add the package to your system using these commands: # uncompress /tmp/pkg/ptf4034b.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/pkg/ptf4034b 5. Power the system down, and install the second PCI bridge adapter. 6. Reboot the system.
