Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf4025a, the SCO UnixWare 2.1.3 specfs Supplement for devstat system call, addresses this problem: During boot to init 2, the "slink" command hangs on snode_close_sv when using the UnixWare 2.1.3 specfs driver. This happens on a uniprocessor on every boot. If booting to init 1, then running the /etc/rc2.d/* scripts one at a time manually, the slink command does not hang and you can successfully go to initstate 2. Replacing the UnixWare 2.1.3 specfs driver with the UnixWare 2.1 specfs driver resolves this problem.
