Dear SCO Customer, The enclosed Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF3140, the vi(1) Editor Supplement, corrects these problems with the vi "put" command: 1. In command mode, when [count]p or [count]P is entered, vi now puts the current changed buffer for [count] number of iterations, where [count] is 1 by default. Formerly, for a changed buffer containing one or more complete lines, vi ignored the value of [count]; putting the buffer only once for all values of [count]. 2. For a changed buffer containing partial lines, the vi "put" command properly used the [count] repeat effect prefix. The problem described above did not exist for "put" of partial lines. However, after the execution of such a "put", the vi "redo" command, in the form of [count]., would exhibit incorrect behavior. The "redo" command would repeat the vi command executed prior to the "put". These corrections to the behavior of vi correct a Single UNIX Specification Minor System Fault (MSF) against the UnixWare Release 2.1.1 version of the vi editor.
