Dear SCO Customer,

The enclosed Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF3131B, the Intel Processor 
Supplement, corrects problems discovered in Intel Pentium Pro and Pentium II 
processors.  This SLS includes the following:

1. A workaround for the spurious SIGSEGV cpu erratum;
2. A workaround for the incorrect EFLAGS cpu erratum;
3. Corrections to the virtual memory subsystem;
4. Patches to the kernel debugger;
5. Kernel patches for the ps(1) command.


Software Notes and Recommendations
----------------------------------

SLS PTF3131B should only be installed on:

SCO UnixWare Application Server Release 2.1.1, 2.1.2
SCO UnixWare Personal Edition Release 2.1.1, 2.1.2

Note: For SCO UnixWare 2.1 installations, see SLS PTF3028B.


Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf3131b.Z and ptf3131b.txt files to the /tmp directory
   on your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your
   system using these commands:

       $ su
       # uncompress /tmp/ptf3131b.Z
       # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf3131b

3. Reboot the system after installing this SLS.  
   The Release Notes displayed prior to installation 
   can be found in /var/sadm/pkg/ptf3131/install/ptf3131.txt.


Removal Instructions
---------------------

1. As root, remove the package.

       $ su
       # pkgrm ptf3131

2. Reboot the system after removing this SLS.
