Symptom -------- The problem occurs only occasionally, and may be triggered by inadvertant touching of more than one key at a time (CTRL key held down while the mouse pointer is being moved). As a result, the mouse goes "mad", and is all over the screen at the slightest touch, even simulating button presses (menus popping up etc.) SOLUTION SPECIFICS ------------------ General Description. ------------------- The mouse input is recognized by three byte sequece. The first byte is the button, sign and overflow state , second is the X-coordinate and third is the Y-coordinates. There is a bit in the first byte that is always marked as set. We check for this bit and if it is clear, we reset the mouse.
