These updates prevent the shift key from being stuck on. Symptom -------- A fast typist might occasionally see the shift key be stuck in the ON mode. That is, all key presses would behave as if the shift key were being simultaneously pressed. The shift key sticks on until the shift key is pressed again. SOLUTION SPECIFICS ------------------ General Description. ------------------- The updated driver saves the scan codes from the keyboard so that they are not lost when the keyboard is reset. Thus, the release code from the shift key will be seen by the driver and the shift key will behave properly. New Features. ------------ None Software Notes and Recommendations. ---------------------------------- This PTF can be installed on UnixWare 2.0, 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 systems. Testing of the modified software contained in this package has been conducted only to the extent necessary to confirm that it resolves the problem(s) stated above ("Symptom"). Such testing consists of recreating the problem conditions (typically in a SCO test laboratory) and verifying that the problem no longer occurs. No other testing of this software has been done. Hardware Notes and Recommendations. ---------------------------------- This PTF is targeted for the i386, i486 and Pentium CPU's.
