Download the tf2071.Z and tf2071.txt files to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. Read the release notes contained in this file and follow the instuctions to add the package to your system. 3. Now become root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system using the following commands: $ su # uncompress /tmp/tf2071.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/tf2071 ENGINEERING RELEASE NOTES ------------------------- Title ----- PTF2071 - PS/2 and Serial Mouse Update Product And Version ------------------- UnixWare 2.01 or UnixWare 2.02 Abstract -------- Enhanced support for PS/2 and serial mice Symptom -------- On some Pentium(R) systems certain PS/2 mice would cause the display to hang and keyboard LEDs to not work. Logitech First Mouse (Model #0229, M/N: M-MD15L) serial mice will hang. This happens after a reboot of the system. On Logitech mouse model CR32 the middle button does not function. On Logitech mouse models CR32 and ML38 the mice will freeze randomly after a reboot or after moving the mouse after just exiting the desktop. SOLUTION SPECIFICS ------------------ Full support has been added for Logitech mice models, M-MD15L (First Mouse), CR32 and ML38. Mouse hangs no longer occur. PS/2 mice no longer hang on Pentium(R) based systems. Software Notes and Recommendations. ---------------------------------- This PTF can be installed on UnixWare 2.01 or UnixWare 2.02. Testing of the modified software contained in this package has been conducted only to the extent necessary to confirm that it resolves the problem(s) stated above ("Symptom"). Such testing consists of recreating the problem conditions and verifying that the problem no longer occurs. No other testing of this software has been done.
