This will cause a starvation of system resources over time. SYMPTOM Symptom are a ENOMEM in what is apparently a lightly loaded system. SOLUTION Apply the tf2027 file. Installation Instructions: DATATYPE: datastream 1. Download the tf2027.Z and tf2027.txt files to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. Read the release notes contained in this file and follow the instuctions to add the packages to your system. 3. Now become root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system using the following commands: $ su # uncompress /tmp/tf2027.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/tf2027 Solution Specifics Product And Version ------------------- UnixWare 2.01 General Description. ------------------- A failure to correctly free memory allocated in the sleep() library call in libthreads. New Features. ------------ None. Software Notes and Recommendations. ---------------------------------- This ptf requires that UnixWare 2.01 be installed. There are no other dependencies for its installation. This ptf will be included in the UnixWare 2.02 release and not need to be re-installed. Testing of the modified software contained in this package has been conducted only to the extent necessary to confirm that it resolves the problem(s) stated above ("Symptom"). Such testing consists of recreating the problem conditions and verifying that the problem no longer occurs. No other testing of this software has been done.
