DOCUMENT ID: TID300213 DOCUMENT REVISION: A DATE: 11MAY95 ALERT STATUS: Yellow INFORMATION TYPE: Symptom Solution README FOR: tf2025 PRODUCT and VERSION: UnixWare 2.0 ABSTRACT: There is a problem in libXm that will cause Motif apps to dump core whenever there is a call to XtDestroyWidget() on a window containing a menubar with a tearoff menu, i.e. a RowColumn widget with XmtearOffModel set to XmTEAR_OFF_ENABLED. SYMPTOM See Abstract. SOLUTION Apply the tf2025 file. Installation Instructions: DATATYPE: datastream 1. Download the tf2025.Z and tf2025.txt files to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. Read the release notes contained in this file and follow the instuctions to add the packages to your system. 3. Now become root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system using the following commands: $ su # uncompress /tmp/tf2025.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/tf2025 Solution Specifics Product And Version --------------------- UnixWare 2.01 General Description. ------------------- Changes to libXm that allow a RowColumn widget to contain XmTEAR_OFF_ENABLED. New Features. ------------ None Software Notes and Recommendations. ---------------------------------- This PTF can be installed on UnixWare 2.01 systems which have the Desktop (mrun) package installed. There are two additional libraries that install if the Motif developement package (mdev) is installed. This PTF will be contained in the new 2.x release or update. Testing of the modified software contained in this package has been conducted only to the extent necessary to confirm that it resolves the problem(s) stated above ("Symptom"). Such testing consists of recreating the problem conditions and verifying that the problem no longer occurs. No other testing of this software has been done.
