This patch fixes menus that set date and time in the Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OA&M) system. The fixes allow a user to set a date greater than the 28th of a month. SYMPTOM The fixes to the OA&M date/time menus correct a mistake that caused the menus to validate the date as if every month were February. The menus now use the correct limits for each month of the year. SOLUTION Apply the ptf676 file. Installation Instructions: DATATYPE: datastream 1. Download the ptf676.Z and ptf676.txt files to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. Read the release notes contained in this file and follow the instuctions to add the packages to your system. 3. Now become root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system using the following commands: $ su # uncompress /tmp/ptf676.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf676 ptf676 Solution Specifics General Description ------------------- These release notes acquaint you with the contents of the PTF676 patch for UnixWare. Troubleshooting --------------- To test that the new menus are correctly installed, - Run sysadm - Choose 'system_setup' at the top level menu. - From the 'system_setup' menu choose 'datetime' - From the 'datetime' menu, choose 'set' - From the date set menu, set the month to 'October' or another month with 31 days. Set the date to the 29th, 30th and 31st saving after each date you set. If all the dates are accepted by the menus, the fixes are correctly installed.
