ABSTRACT:

The ptf639 file contains ptf639 - Communication Update Package. PTF639
resolves a problem reported by several customers who complained that 
the new "asyc" and "iasy" drivers that were modified to handle modem 
control commands did not work properly.  This PTF requires UnixWare 
update 1.1.1


SYMPTOM

asyc and iasy drivers do not handle modem control commands properly.

SOLUTION

Apply the ptf639 file.

Installation Instructions:

DATATYPE: datastream

1.  Download the ptf639.Z and ptf639.txt to the /tmp directory on
    your machine.

2.  Read the release notes contained in this file.

3.  Now become root, uncompress the file and add the package to your 
    system using the following commands:

     $ su
     # uncompress /tmp/ptf639.Z
     # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf639 ptf639

PTF639 - "Communication Update Package".  This update consists of one 
3.5 inch floppy.

modem control commands did not work properly.  This PTF is intended 
to address those concerns.
