Installation Instructions:  

DATATYPE: datastream

1.  Download the ptf629.Z and ptf629.txt files to the /tmp directory
    on your machine.

2.  Read the release notes contained in the this file and follow the 
    instuctions to add the package to your system.

3.  Now become root, uncompress the file and add the package to your 
    system using the following commands:

        $ su
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf629.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf629

Abstract
--------

The ptf629 file contains PTF629 - "Updated "syslogd" with Network Support". 
This update consists of one 3.5 inch floppy. PTF629 resolves a problem 
where "syslogd" could not process information from a remote Unix system. 
This PTF requires UnixWare 1.1.1

Symptom
-------

Previous version of syslogd did not support networking. PTF629 resolves 
a problem where "syslogd" could not process information from a remote 
Unix system.
