ABSTRACT:

This file contains PTF224 - UnixWare PTF224 - Fix for libsocket.so 
library to take care of reverse address mapping. This package has 
libsocket.so in pkgadd format.  This ptf is meant for UnixWare version 
1.1.2 or 1.1.3 or 1.1.4


SYMPTOM

If the remote host does not have reverse mapping set up, name 
resolution used to fail. Now getbyname succeeds even if getbyaddr fails. 

SOLUTION

Apply the ptf224 file.


Installation Instructions:

DATATYPE: datastream


1.  Download the ptf224.Z and ptf224.txt files to the /tmp directory  
    on your machine.

2.  Read the release notes contained in this file and follow the
    instuctions to add the packages to your system.

3.  Now become root, uncompress the file and add the package to your 
    system using the following commands:

        $ su
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf224.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf224 ptf224
