ABSTRACT:

The ptf183 file contains UnixWare PTF183 - Fix for xpr to print window
dump properly. This package has xpr utility in pkgadd format. This 
ptf is meant for UnixWare version 1.1 or 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 


SYMPTOM

Prior to fix, print window did not dump properly

SOLUTION

Apply the ptf183 file.


Installation Instructions:

DATATYPE: datastream

1.  Download the ptf183.Z and ptf183.txt files to the /tmp directory  
    on your machine.

2.  Read the release notes contained in this file.            

3.  Now become root, uncompress the file and add the package to your 
    system using the following commands:

     $ su
     # uncompress /tmp/ptf183.Z
     # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf183 ptf183

Solution Specifics

1. General Description

These release notes acquaint you with the contents of UnixWare 
PTF183 - Fix for xpr to print window dump properly. This package 
has xpr utility in pkgadd format.

2. Software Notes and Recommendations

This ptf is meant for UnixWare version 1.1 or 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 

xpr is fixed to handle the color/gray level information properly.  
xpr has an additional option -q which will accept I or IBM as its 
argument, which will use IBM prologue.  When the colors are other 
than 16 the color info was not properly calculated before. This 
is fixed. Also to solve the VM problem with printers each pixel is 
sent as a raw data now, instead of sending all the pixels at once.
