ABSTRACT:

The ptf167 file installs modified Internet start-up scripts which 
correct the handling of error logs generated during Internet start-up.  
Prior to installing this patch, the error logs are always removed.  
The modified scripts remove the error logs only if Internet start-up 
is successful.

SOLUTION

Apply the ptf167 file.


Installation Instructions:

DATATYPE: datastream

1.  Download the ptf167.Z and ptf167.txt files to the /tmp directory  
    on your machine.

2.  Read the release notes contained in this file.           

3.  Now become root, uncompress the file and add the package to your 
    system using the following commands:

     $ su
     # uncompress /tmp/ptf167.Z
     # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf167 ptf167

Solution Specifics

This patch can be installed on any UnixWare system which has the Internet
Utilities package installed.  The Internet Utilities package is required; 
this patch will not install if it is not present.

5. Installation Instructions

Depending on the format:

If this PTF was delivered on a diskette, then (as "root")

     # pkgadd -d diskette1

should install this patch.

Otherwise, if you have a file such as "ptf167" which is in a "stream" format,
then (as "root")

     # pkgadd -d <pwd>/ptf167 

will work.
