TLS301 - Drivers for ATI Mach64 PCI (VT/GT) chipset based adapters. KEYWORDS: open server enterprise desktop cmw+ 3.0 30 301 ati mach64 pci graphics adapter chipset drivers gt vt tls301 ENGREF LTD-246-1140 ERGREF 500463 RELEASE: SCO Open Desktop Release 3.0.0 SCO Open Server Enterprise System Release 3.0.0 SCO CMW+ Open Desktop System Release 3.0.1 SCO CMW+ for Open Server Enterprise System Release 3.0.1 PROBLEM: What drivers are available for the ATI Mach64 (VT/GT) chipset based video adapters? TLS056c has been tried but does not work. SOLUTION: TLS301 can be downloaded from ftp://ftp.sco.com/TLS It is a backported version of the Open Server 5.0.x driver located at ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/drivers/OSR500-OSR502/graphics/m64. It contains the following new files, /usr/lib/grafinfo/ati/m64pci.tmpl /usr/lib/grafinfo/ati/m64pci.xgi /usr/lib/vidconf/scripts/m64pci /usr/lib/vidconf/scripts/pciinfo /usr/lib/vidconf/AOF/ID/ati/m64pci /usr/lib/X11/dyddx/m64/XDriver.o To install, uncompress the file, and copy it to a floppy diskette, # uncompress tls301.Z # dd if=tls301 of=/dev/fd0135ds18 Go into system maintenance mode and run custom(ADM) and select to install a New Product. Run 'mkdev graphics' and select the resolution desired from the ATI Mach64 selection setups. Save this configuration and exit. The system must build a new kernel to conform to this setup, and the system should be rebooted after this is complete. This should link /usr/lib/X11/dyddx/m64/XDriver.o into the X Server. Be sure the permissions on the files in /usr/lib are set to 755 and owner and group are bin.
