Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf4046b, the SCO UnixWare 2.1.x asyc and iasy Driver Supplement, addresses all of the problems listed below. SLS ptf4046a addressed these issues: - The system may freeze for several seconds when using a modem connection without error correction. sar(1M) with the -y option shows very high values for rawch/s in this situation. - If a port is configured to use a modem and the modem is either switched off or disconnected, then a simple command such as "ls -l /dev/term" will cause the terminal where the command was run to hang. SLS ptf4046b additionally addresses this issue: - The 'TCSETAW' ioctl hangs if an XOFF character has been received on the serial port. The hang occurs if an XOFF character is received as the last data is being SENT. If an unanswered XOFF is received (an XON is not received) just before the ioctl (fd, TCSETAW, &term) command is issued, the TCSETAW function will never complete.
