Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF4019A, the SCO UnixWare 2.1.3 pcmp Driver, addresses a problem of a system panic on an SCO UnixWare 2.1.3 operating system with OSMP is installed. The panic may read: PANIC: vfs_mountroot: cannot mount root SLS PTF4019A modifies pcmp_irq_lookup() and changes the PCI bus defaults to AV_POLOW/AV_LEVEL. SLS PTF4019A contains: /etc/conf/pack.d/pcmp/Driver_mp.o The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in: /var/sadm/pkg/ptf4019/install/ptf4019.txt Software Notes and Recommendations ---------------------------------- SLS PTF4019A should only be installed on these releases: SCO UnixWare Application Server 2.1.3 SCO UnixWare Personal Edition 2.1.3 Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. Download the ptf4019a.Z and ptf4019a.txt files to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. As root, uncompress the file and add the SLS package to your system using these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf4019a.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf4019a # rm /tmp/ptf4019a 3. Reboot the system after installing this SLS package. Removal Instructions -------------------- 1. As root, remove the SLS package using these commands: $ su Password: # pkgrm ptf4019 2.
