Download the ptf3019f.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. As root, uncompress the file and add the SLS package to your system using these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf3019f.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf3019f # rm /tmp/ptf3019f 3. Configure the driver. The NIC Support Utility will automatically be run by the installation script, to configure any network cards supported by this driver. The utility will dynamically load the eeE driver into the UnixWare kernel. Note: You may see a red error screen displayed when you select the "Accept all entries". If you see this, select the "Ignore the Error" box. (The error occurs as niccfg will attempt to load the new eeE driver and it in turn will attempt to allocate a large amount of contiguous memory to the driver; this may fail if the system has been in use for some time. It is safe to ignore this error as you will be rebooting the system.) 4. Establish an Internet configuration for your system. If you already had a Pro100 (eeE) card configured in the system, then proceed to step (5). Otherwise, you will need to configure the network parameters for the card. a. The Internet setup required for your Internet node can be established by using the utility access from the Desktop GUI "Admin_Tools -> Networking -> Internet_Setup" icons or the command line utility, "/etc/inet/menu". 5. Reboot the system. If you have questions regarding this SLS, or the product on which it is installed, please contact your software supplier.
