SIMMs must be installed in identical pairs in one of
three locations (J7/J8, J10/J11, J12/J13)

The SIMMs can be installed in any combination as long
as identical pairs:
o
8-MB models have two 4-MB SIMMs installed in J7/J8;
o
16-MB models have two 8-MB SIMMs installed in J7/J8
·
Only SIMMs with tin-lead plated connectors should be
used for memory upgrades.

EDO Memory units only (March 4,1996 announcement):
·
Use Fast Page Mode, EDO or FPM SIMMs
o
If the SIMMS are mixed, the setting will default to
FPM.
Note:
EDO is NOT backwards compatible to the older Deskpro & ProLinea
(before the March 4th announcement) and should not be
used on those models.
