Compaq 140 and 150 Color Monitors KEY FEATURES Power Conservation Both of these monitors are Energy Star-compliant and, when connected to computers that have energy saver features, can operate in a reduced power state when they are not in use. An Energy Saver utility is available under the Windows environment, and some features are available under the DOS environment. Table 1 describes the monitor modes. Table 1. Monitor Modes =========================================================================== Mode Power Usage Description =========================================================================== ON 75 watts ON = Normal operation Suspend Less than 70 watts Monitor screen is blanked. Full power mode returns quickly. Energy Saver Less than 20 watts Monitor screen is blanked and the power LED flashes. High voltage is off. A brief warm-up period is required before monitor returns to full ON mode. =========================================================================== AssetControl Capability This feature allows the identification and tracking of hardware electronically at the user's workstation or across a network. When Compaq monitor hardware is combined with the appropriate software, AssetControl allows you to track a number of monitors locally or from a remote site, relaying information about their specifications. Plug and Play Ready This feature allows the monitor, when used with Windows 95, to communicate directly with the CPU to simplify setup and configuration.
