The F10 computer EISA System Configuration & (Bios/Cmos) setup utility for this model normally resides on the hard drive on a special partition. Pressing the F10 key during boot when the cursor flashes in the upper right of the display/monitor will bring up this utility. If this does not happen, then the utility is damaged or is not installed.
Then it would be necessary to download the F10 computer EISA System Configuration file from the Compaq Internet site to the hard drive of this or some other computer. Execute the executable file and read the instructions. The result will be one or more bootable disk that can be used to boot the computer into the Bios setup utility. You can boot to this disk any time you need to run the Bios setup utility. If you want to restore the special F10 partition to the hard drive then you would have to clean the drive (Fdisk and Format) and start over with it (this would remove all data from the drive). This is usually not worth it to simply have the ability to press the F10 key to run the setup.
The next time the drive is rebuilt or if it is replaced, then the utility can be added. To do this, remove all partitions from the drive and then boot to the bootable setup disk. The utility will recognize that there are no partitions on the drive and ask if you want to install the F10 partition. If you answer yes to this then the partition will be created. The computer will reboot and install the utility (if you left the disk in the A:\ drive).
