The power switch needed to be double cycled. - Enhanced DOS support for USB mice and keyboards that do not fully conform to the USB specification. HOW TO USE: 1. Format a 1.44-MB diskette. 2. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file. You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create the ROMPaq diskette. 4. After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file if you wish. 5. Place the ROMPaq diskette into drive A: of the computer you wish to update and turn on the power or reboot the computer, allowing it to boot from the diskette. 6. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue. 7. Select the ROM version to be installed. 8. The ROMPaq diskette will automatically update the System ROM and notify you when the update is finished. DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER'S POWER DURING THIS PROCESS 9. When the ROM update is finished, you will need to turn the computer off and back on for the changes to be in effect. Remove the ROMPaq diskette from the computer. Turn the computer's power switch OFF, wait 15 seconds, then turn the switch ON again. IMPORTANT: When the power switch on the back of the unit is switched off, the power protection features of the power supply require that the switch be in the off position for up to 15 seconds before being switched back on.
