The self-extracting executable file contains Compaq Workstation Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 that supports the following subsystems and features of Compaq Professional Workstations: STB Systems MVP Workstation Graphics Controller STB Systems MVP Pro 128 Graphics Controller Compaq Workstation Support Software Installation utility Enhancements/Fixes: Important: This is the first release of the Compaq Workstation SSD for Windows NT 4.0 that is not available as diskette images. If you obtain the Compaq Workstation SSD for Windows NT 4.0 in SoftPaq format, the SoftPaq extracts its files to a directory on the hard drive. You cannot obtain the Workstation SSD for Windows NT 4.0 version 2.02A (or later) as a SoftPaq that contains diskette images. For details, refer to NTREADME.HLP in the created support files. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files. The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed. You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for the files, or default to the download directory. The following files will be created: README.TXT STB.EXE 3. After the files have been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the self-extracting executable: STB.EXE [ENTER] 5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program SETUP.EXE to install the software.
