The PC may eventually go into Sleep mode, and when the Sleep button is pushed, it redisplays the "It is safe..." message. Or, if you press the Sleep button briefly, the PC will go into sleep. After pressing it again to restart, the "It is safe..." message will still be displayed. The only way to actually power off is to press the power button for more than 5 seconds. After this SoftPaq is applied, the PC will shut down normally. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable that will automatically install the SoftPaq to your system. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Click on "Yes" to confirm that you want to install the SoftPaq on the system, 3. Read the Licensing Agreement and click on "I Agree", and installation will begin. 4. After the files have been installed, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. Copyright 1998, Compaq Computer Corporation. All rights reserved.
