IMPORTANT: Before installing, remove earlier version Compaq Insight Management Agents for SCO UnixWare 2, as explained below. Enhancements/Fixes: - Fixes a problem with the SCSI Agent (cpqscsid) that caused an error in the earlier version, Ver 3.80 Rev K. HOW TO USE: Steps 1-5 are performed under DOS, Microsoft Windows 3.1, or Windows NT. Steps 6-10 are performed under SCO UnixWare 2.1.2 or 2.1.3. 1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette. 2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Three files will be created: SP7484.TXT, CIM380._01 and QRST5.EXE. 4. Execute QRST5.EXE and you will be prompted to insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette containing Compaq Insight Management Agents for UnixWare 2. 5. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2 and the files upacked in step 3. 6. To install the Compaq Insight Management Agents for SCO UnixWare 2, log in as "root." 7. If the server already has CIM Agents installed, remove them using the following command: # pkgrm cim 8. Insert the newly created diskette into the SCO default diskette drive and execute the following command: # pkgadd -d diskette1 cim Follow the on-screen instructions. 9. Remove the diskette. 10.
