Enhancements/Fixes: - Resolves an issue where high-pitched noises were heard when playing .WAV files using previous ESS audio driver version 2.00.80. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory. To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete path of the directory as a parameter: SPxxxx Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into the download directory or the directory specified. 3. After the files have been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. The driver may be installed directly from the files on the download directory or a driver diskette can be created. To create a driver diskette, run MAKEDISK.BAT. To install the driver, go to the Control Panel. Double-click the Multimedia Icon. Select the Devices Tab. Select Add. Select Unlisted or Updated Driver. Click OK. Enter the path where the drivers are located (from step 2) or enter A:\ if installing from a created diskette. 5. Select OK to install the driver. 6.
