The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory. To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete path of the directory as a parameter: SPxxxx Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into the download directory or the directory specified. 3. After the files have been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. The driver may be installed directly from the files on the download directory or driver diskette can be created. To create a driver diskette, run MAKEDISK.BAT. To install the driver, open an OS/2 full-screen or OS/2 window session. At the OS/2 command prompt, type in the path to INSTALL.CMD in the download directory and press ENTER: c:\\install Follow on-screen instructions and select VGA mode. Or if installing from a created diskette, enter: a:\install 5. When the installation is complete, shut down and restart the computer for the changes to take effect. 6. After the driver has been installed, you may delete the files from the download directory if you wish. Copyright 1998, Compaq Computer Corporation. All rights reserved.
