Enhancements/Fixes: - Workaround for the Compaq DLT 35/70 issue: Seagate's BackupExec may stop during a backup, resetting the SCSI bus. This may happen with Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 or 4.0 when a previous version of the Compaq SCSI Controller driver, CPQ32FS2.SYS, is installed. The issue presents itself approximately 5% of the time or less and is normally associated with large files. When it occurs, the Compaq DLT 35/70 drive firmware does not properly respond to requests from the host. It only fails during the verification process. The Compaq 32-Bit SCSI-2 Controllers Driver supports the following subsystems and features of Compaq Servers and Professional Workstations: 32-Bit SCSI-2 Family of Controllers Dual Channel Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 Controller Integrated 32-Bit Fast-SCSI-2 Controller Integrated 32-Bit Fast-SCSI-2/P Controller Integrated 32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2/P Controller Integrated 32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2/E Controller Integrated 32-Bit Wide-Ultra SCSI Controller 32-Bit Fast-SCSI-2 Controller option board 32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2/P Controller option board 32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2/E Controller option board 32-Bit Wide-Ultra SCSI-2/P Controller option board Compaq Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 Controller option board Compaq Dual Channel Integrated Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 Controller option board HOW TO USE: 1. You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for the files (such as A:\ to unpack to diskette), or default to the download directory. The following files will be unpacked: README.TXT FASTSCSI.INF CPQ32FS2.SYS 3. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. To install, refer to README.TXT. You can modify those instructions to install from the download directory if you did not create a diskette. 5. After a successful installation, you may delete the files unpacked in step 2 if you wish. Copyright 1998, Compaq Computer Corporation. All rights reserved.
