It creates four diskettes. The NSSD diskettes contain NetWare and IntranetWare drivers, NetWare Loadable Modules (NLMs), and support information to optimize the performance of NetWare and IntranetWare on Compaq servers. This software enhances the performance of Compaq options such as Compaq Drive Array controllers, Compaq 32-Bit SCSI-2 controllers, and Compaq CD-ROM drives. Enhancements/Fixes: STORAGE UPDATES - CPQS710.DSK v2.13 adds support for the Compaq Dual Channel Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 Controller and the Compaq ProLiant Storage System /U. - CPQSDISK.DSK v2.12 adds support for the Compaq ProLiant Storage System /U. SERVER MANAGEMENT UPDATES - CPQHLTH.NLM v3.13 adds support for the ProLiant Redundant Power Supply. SYMMETRIC MULTIPROCESSING UPDATES - CPQSMP.PSM was updated to correct compatibility problems with IntranetWare Support Pack v4.0. The server may Page Fault when a previous version of CPQSMP.PSM checks for failed processors under IntranetWare with Support Pack v4.0. The systems affected are the ProLiant 2000, 4000, and 4500. INSTALL/DOS SERVER SUPPORT UPDATES - FWS2ASPI.SYS v1.05 was updated to prevent the server from hanging during an IntranetWare/NetWare installation. The readme files for NSSD are available as a WINHELP file, located on diskette #2. The WHATSNEW.RDM file, found on diskette #2, contains detailed information about the updates, new features, and fixes in this version. Refer to the WHATSNEW.RDM file for specific driver names and version numbers. HOW TO USE 1. Obtain four(4) formatted 1.44 MB diskettes. 2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes. 4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2. 5. For installation instructions, refer to READ1ST.RDM and WHATSNEW.RDM on the created diskettes.
