Compaq Array Controller(CPQARRAY.SYS) Updated the Compaq Array Controller driver version from 3.21 to 3.22. This updated Compaq Array Controller driver will now save the current cache configuration of the redundant pair and set the cache configuration to 100% read when initializing for Compaq Online Storage Controller Recovery Option support. These enhancements to the Compaq Array Controller driver allow a non-degraded condition to be detected via Compaq Insight Manager and a read cache as opposed to running with cache completely disabled during recovery operation. Compaq 4/8 GB SLR Tape Driver(TANDQIC.SYS) Added support for the new Compaq 4/8 GB SLR Tape Driver that supports the Compaq 4/8 GB SLR Tape Drive. This driver is an OEM driver from Tandberg Data Inc. For more information on this new driver, refer to the section entitled Compaq 4/8 GB SLR Tape Drive Support. Compaq Integrated Management Display Utility(CPQLCD.EXE) Added the ability to run silently using command-line arguments. The utility processes and writes its output to a log file. This ability is similar to console application behavior except that there is no console output. Compaq Integrated Management Log Viewer(CPQIMLV.EXE) Added the ability to run silently using command-line arguments. The utility processes and writes its output to a log file. This ability is similar to console application behavior except that there is no console output. Compaq Power Down Manager(CPQPSW.EXE) Added the ability to run silently using command-line arguments. The utility processes and writes its output to a log file. This ability is similar to console application behavior except that there is no console output. Compaq Power Supply Viewer(CPQPSP.EXE) Added the ability to run silently using command-line arguments. The utility processes and writes its output to a log file. This ability is similar to console application behavior except that there is no console output. Compaq Remote Insight Board Driver(CPQRIB.SYS) Updated the Compaq Remote Insight Board driver from version 1.23 to 1.24. This updated driver eliminates potential problems with the previous version of the driver that was writing past the length of the resource descriptor. Compaq Remote Insight Board WAN Driver(RIBWAN.SYS) Modified the OEMSETUP.INF file to check the wins binding order and to verify that the network and WAN cards are not out of order. If the cards are out of order, a warning message will appear. Compaq Support Software Setup for Microsoft Windows NT(SETUP.EXE) Corrected a problem with installing remote components using Express Setup. If the remote machine was at the Ctrl + Alt + Del login screen when an Express Setup was performed, the Compaq System Tools option of the Start menu was not created. Corrected a problem with updating the Compaq Fibre Channel Array Controllers SCSI Class driver when installing a new SSD over an existing one by implementing a multiple file check to ensure that the correct drivers are updated. When an updated Compaq Fibre Channel Array Controllers SCSI Class driver was included and the Compaq Fibre Channel Host Controllers SCSI driver was unchanged in the new SSD, the Compaq Fibre Channel Array Controllers SCSI Class driver would not be updated. Compaq System Management Driver(SYSMGMT.SYS) Updated the Compaq System Management driver version from 2.58.02 to 3.00.01. Added support for the Compaq ProLiant 1600 Models 6/350-1 and 6/400-1, the Compaq ProLiant 1600R Model 6/400-1, and the Compaq ProLiant 800 Model 6/350-1. Modified the behavior of the Automatic Server Recovery (ASR) after the system encounters a Non-Maskable Interrupt (NMI). In this case, ASR will reboot the system after one minute. The ASR timeout value specified through the Compaq System Configuration Utility will not be changed, and ASR behavior is unchanged in all other cases. Corrected a problem in which the time of last update timestamp on entries in the Compaq Integrated Management Log was not updated when the entry was updated. This timestamp is visible through the Compaq Integrated Management Display and through the update time field of the Compaq Integrated Management Log Viewer. Corrected a problem on Compaq Professional Workstations in which the Hours in Service value, which is visible through Compaq Insight Manager, was not initialized properly. Corrected the following intermittent problems with the Compaq Hot Plug Redundant Power Supplies on the Compaq ProLiant 1200, the Compaq ProLiant 1600 Model 6/266-1, and the Compaq ProLiant 1600R Model 6/266-1: power supply failures were improperly reported as removals and power supply insertions were improperly reported as repairs. For details, refer to NTREADME.HLP in the created support files. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files. The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed. You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for the files, or default to the download directory. The following files will be created: README.TXT NTSSD.EXE 3. After the files have been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1. 4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the self-extracting executable: NTSSD.EXE [ENTER] 5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program SETUP.EXE to install the software.
