DESCRIPTION:

This Softpaq creates the OS/2 Support Software Diskettes
for Compaq Version 3.55 Rev A.

Enhancements/Fixes:

This release of OS/2 Support Software Diskette v3.55 Rev A,
supports the following new products:

Compaq ProLiant 1850R 6/550
Compaq ProLiant 1600 6/550
Compaq ProLiant 3000 6/550
Compaq ProLiant 800 6/550

NEW FEATURES AND UPDATES:

This section details the new features and problems fixed
by the contents of the Compaq Support Software Diskette
v3.55 for OS/2.
 
1. Compaq Wellness Utility for OS/2

    The Compaq Wellness Utility Version 2.21 has been
    updated to support Compaq ProLiant 7000 Xeon 500 Mhz.

2.  Compaq Array Controller Support for OS/2

    Compaq Array Driver, CPQARRAY.ADD Version 3.65 has been
    enhanced to support redundancy for SMART Array 3100ES
    Controllers.
    The driver is updated to fix the Trap D problem when the
    CPQARRAY.ADD entry is below IBM2FLPY.ADD in config.sys.

3.  Compaq Array Configuration Utility for OS/2

    Compaq Array Configuration Utility Version 2.21A has
    been enhanced to support RAID/Stripe size migration,
    Online Logical Drive Expansion and Redundant Controller
    configuration of SMART Array 3100ES Controllers.

4.  Compaq SCSI Controller Support for OS/2

    Compaq SCSI Driver, CPQ53CX.ADD Version 2.76 has been
    enhanced to support removeable media devices.

5.  Compaq Server System Management Driver for OS/2

    Compaq Server System Management Driver Version 2.16
    has been updated to fix a problem with detection of 
    hot-insertion of redundant power supply on Compaq
    ProLiant 6400R.


HOW TO USE:

1. Download the Softpaq to an empty directory on your
   hard drive and change to that directory. The file that
   is downloaded is SP4744.EXE.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the Softpaq
   file:
      SP4744 [ENTER]

   The following files should be created:

   QRST5.EXE
   277096US._01
   277096US._02
   277096US._03
   277096US._04
   277096US._05
   SP4744.TXT

3. Obtain 5 formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

4. To create the diskettes, run QRST5 and follow the
   on-screen instructions.

5. After the diskettes are created, you may delete the
   downloaded file SP4744.EXE and the other files created
   on your hard drive if you wish.

6. Type VIEWME at the command prompt on the First Diskette
   for additional information.
