It is installed on the System Partition for those systems which support it and have hard drives. It is shipped as diskette(s) on all other products. New Features: 1. This version adds support for the Compaq ProLiant 3000 server. 2. The Hot-Add Reservation Options advanced-mode feature has been added to all the PCI Hot-Plug capable servers. Problems Fixed: 1. In previous versions of the SCU, if an ISA PnP card reported that it used a version of the PnP specification later than 1.0A, config would not display the correct error panel and would not complete execution. 2. In previous versions, config would reserve too large an amount of memory in the 1 to 16Mb range for any option cards that requested it. This can cause multiple problems, such as the Array Configuration Utility not executing properly off of floppy disk. See TRN H970811.001 for more details. 3. Corrected minor display problems that occur in system configuration utility versions 2.36A or 2.37A that display garbled text for some boards in "Step 3: View or edit details" screen. HOW TO USE: 1. Obtain four (4) formatted 1.44-MB diskettes. 2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes. 4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2. 5. To run the Compaq System Configuration Utility, power down your computer, place the Compaq System Configuration Utility diskette 1 in Drive A:, and power up your computer.
