ENHANCEMENTS:
- Updates the SATA Option ROM to version 1.17_D. This version provides improved
support for SATA optical storage devices.
- Improves the way Memory Type Range Registers (MTRR) are set when a CPU
capable of 38-bit addressing is installed in the workstation.

FIXES:
- Corrects an issue that prevents proper system shutdown when certain PCI-X
cards are installed in the workstation.
- Fixes an issue that could lead to occasional false fan failure messages.
- Corrects an issue that prevents the workstation from booting from any but the
first SATA optical storage drive. This issue can occur only when multiple SATA
optical storage drives are installed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
LINUX USERS: After downloading the SoftPaq file, verify that the SoftPaq file
has a .tgz extension. If it does not, change it to .tgz. Some browsers
automatically rename the file with a .tar extension, which makes the SoftPaq
unusable.

1. Download and extract the .TGZ file. For example, to extract the contents, at
console prompt type (where ''filename'' is replaced by the name of the file to
be extracted):
''tar -xzvf filename.tgz''

2. For more information about flashing the system BIOS, see the README text
file that is provided in the SoftPaq.
