DESCRIPTION:
This package provides a firmware upgrade that is specifically designed for 
Seagate Cheetah 10K.7 10,000 rpm SCSI Hard Drives in the supported PARISC 
workstation models. 

NOTE: The following drive model strings and firmware revision levels, which are 
visible with most drive inquiry tools, correspond to drives for which this 
upgrade is applicable:

- HP 73.4G ST373207LW HPC3
- HP 146 G ST3146707LW HPC3
- HP 300 G ST3300007LW HPC3

HP does not recommend trying to apply this firmware package to drives other 
than those identified in the preceding list.

This package contains a lif volume, which can be put on tape or CD, that 
contains all the necessary files to update the identified hard drives. It also 
contains the individual firmware files to be used with the HP Support Tool 
Manager.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 
1. Download the SoftPaq file to a directory on your hard drive. 

2. Copy the Seagate10K7-HPC3.tar.gz file to the /var/tmp directory.

If copying to a system using ftp, be sure to use BINARY mode. Unzip the file 
using gunzip. Extract the individual files using tar. The expected checksums 
for each of the firmware binary files are in cksums.txt. Read the instructions 
found in ReleaseNote.txt to update drive firmware.
