Files\Altiris\eXpress\Deployment Server\Images directory on the Altiris Server
hard drive.

2. Download 9x sample jobs from www.hp.com/support/dc73 and use the right-click
menu to import the .bin file into your Altiris Deployment Console.

3. Use Altiris DS 6.8 (SP2 or later) or Rapid Deployment Pack 3.70 to deploy
this image to clients, as follows:
* Select the Deploy or DeployKeepSettings sample job in the Altiris Deployment
Console.
* Select the Modify button.
* Modify the image path and file name and other configurable settings for your
environment.
* Drag the client(s) onto the Deploy or DeployKeepSettingsJob.
* Select the 'Run this job immediately' option.

Tip: If your client is currently running HP Client Embedded Operating System
8.x or earlier, you must include the following e2fsck check of partition5
either in the automation script inside the Deploy job or at the automation
prompt:
DOMF="/dev/sda5"
DOMS="/dev/sda6"
if test -e "/dev/hda5"; then
DOMF="/dev/hda5"
DOMS="/dev/hda6"
fi
umount $DOMF
umount $DOMS
/sbin/e2fsck -p -f $DOMF
/sbin/e2fsck -p -f $DOMS

Tip: An alternative for preserving settings is to use a browser on another
system to connect to Webmin on a client (https://myclienthostorip.com:10001),
then go to the Others tab and select the System Logs icon, and cut and paste
contents of the settings*.txt files. Use pscp (Putty scp freeware) to copy
these files to other clients after installation of the new image. (See the
"Getting Started Guide" addendum for details.)
