DESCRIPTION:
This package contains the .ISO image of the HP Point of Sale System Software 
and Documentation CD that is shipped with each of the HP Point of Sale 
accessories. 

The .ISO file enables the creation of a CD that contains:

- Point of Sale (POS) Accessory Configuration and Test Guide, which is an 
overview document that includes some troubleshooting steps, installation steps, 
and how-to-use instructions for the test applets.
- Common Control Object package.
- HP POS Keyboard configuration software.
- HP POS USB Magnetic Strip Reader (MSR) OLE for Retail POS (OPOS) and 
configuration package.
- HP Receipt Printer OPOS package and Microsoft Windows USB drivers for the 
Device Manager.
- HP Barcode Scanner guides.
- HP Barcode OPOS package.
- HP regulatory documentation (that is, Regulatory Notice/Safety and Comfort 
Guide/WEEE Documentation).

NOTE: If only one item is needed, most of the items that are included in the 
.ISO file are also available on the HP website as individual downloads.

ENHANCEMENTS: 
- Changes the default name to HP_USBSCANNER for the scanner OPOS test program 
in HP USB BarCode Scanner OPOS pacakge.  For more details about the test 
program, see the README file after this package is installed.

FIXES: 
- Updates the HP USB Receipt printer package to turn off a debug trace function 
in the OPOS driver that was inadvertently left enabled. Depending on the 
application, you may see an increase in speed when printing receipts.

- Updates the HP USB BarCode Scanner OPOS pacakge to fixe an issue where an 
error message, stating the HP USB Barcode Scanner could not be found, is 
displayed when the test program is run or an application that would use the 
OPOS drivers is run.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. 

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. After the ISO file is saved in Step 2, use a utility that enables the 
creation of a CD from the ISO image.
