FIXES: - Fixes issue where a notebook Powers On automatically when the following conditions are met: * The notebook is connected to AC power and has the main battery removed. * The notebook is Powered On and the AC power is removed during the startup (boot) process. * AC power is reapplied to the notebook, at which point the notebook automatically Powers On. PREREQUISITES: None HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. NOTE: This SoftPaq enables the creation of a bootable diskette, CD, or USB Key. Be sure to have the selected media available before beginning Step 2. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, insert the appropriate media into the notebook (or attach to the notebook) and follow the on-screen instructions to create the bootable media. NOTE: After the selected bootable media has been created, the SoftPaq .EXE file downloaded in Step 1 can be deleted, if desired. 3. Power Off the notebook. IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THE PROCEDURE IN STEP 4! 4. Make sure the newly created bootable media is still attached or in the appropriate drive, and Power On the notebook. Follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade the System BIOS.
