To check for existing NVIDIA packages, at the prompt type: 'rpm -qa | grep nvidia' 2. Remove any previous NVIDIA package. For example, at the prompt type: 'rpm -e nvidia-8756-1.0' 3. To install the new package, at the prompt type: 'rpm -ivh nvidia-8762-1.0.x86_64.rpm' NOTE: Step 3 installs the files on the workstation and configures the NVIDIA accelerated graphics module. It also moves any current X configuration file aside and puts a standard NVIDIA file in place.
