New Features - HP ProLiant DL385 system ROM A05 (03/01/2006) ================================================= 1) Updated the System ROM with the latest support code for AMD Opteron dual-core processors. Problems Fixed - HP ProLiant DL385 system ROM A05 (03/01/2006) ================================================= 1) Resolved an issue where POST may hang if multiple video adapters (or a single multi-headed video adapter) are installed. The problem is dependent on what expansion slots the cards are plugged into. 2) Resolved an issue where the Virtual Serial Port feature did not work properly when using a serial console connection while loading Linux. When a serial console session is in progress, the data may stop transmitting. Pressing Enter on the client may allow progress to continue, but data transmission could stop again. The issue has only been seen when the host system is loading the operating system. 3) Resolved an issue where erroneous over temperature errors and over temperature correction events may be reported and logged. This issue is rare but may be seen when using the HP Systems Management Driver. 4) Resolved an issue for systems using a Brooktrout TR1034 BRI PCI card which may result in systems hanging during POST or result in the cards's Diagnostics not running. The Brooktrout TR1034 BRI PCI card is used for facsimile and voice processing applications. 5) Resolved an issue when using a MultiTech Systems Multi Modem USB device and a USB Drivekey which may result in POST hangs. 6) Resolved an issue with the operating system reporting GART Table Walk Machine Check Errors. These errors are not harmful and do not indicate an actual problem. However, as these machine check errors being reported may cause concern to some customers, the reporting of these errors will be disabled per AMD's recommendation. 7) Resolved an issue that may result in a server hang during POST when certain storage controllers are installed and more than 7 logical drive volumes are configured. This issue may occur on certain controllers, whether embedded or expansion card based, if 8 or more blank drives are attached to the controller. This issue will occur with, but is not limited to, the HP 8 Port SAS/SATA controller, HP Single-Channel U320 SCSI HBA G2 Controller, and HP 64-Bit/133 MHz PCI-X Dual-Channel U320 Controller.
