PREREQUISITES: 
- Computer configured with a diskette drive that is running a Microsoft Windows 
Operating System.

NOTE: This SoftPaq must be downloaded to a Microsoft Windows based computer in 
order to create a diskette that will enable the system BIOS to be updated from 
DOS.

HOW TO USE: 
1. Download this package to a system that is configured with a diskette drive 
and that is running a Microsoft Windows operating system. 

NOTE: The included BIOS update utility can only create the update diskette on a 
computer running a Windows operating system.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to create 
a diskette that will enable you to update the system BIOS from DOS.

3. After the diskette has been created, place it in the diskette drive of the 
Linux based workstation for which you want to update the BIOS. Restart the 
workstation booting from the diskette. The system BIOS will be automatically 
updated. A green window will report a successful flash of the system BIOS.

4. Remove the diskette from the diskette drive and restart the workstation.
