Important Note: IMPORTANT: After upgrading to the ProLiant DL140 G2 BMC Firmware v1.22 the BMC may not be recognized during POST when connecting the server to AC power and immediately powering on. Upgrading the DL140 G2 system ROM to version 1.14 or later will prevent this issue. NOTE: Secure Socket Layer, Secure Shell and virtual floppy enhancements are available as LO100i technology previews with this firmware release. This allows customers to evaluate and use these features at no extra charge for an unlimited timeframe on ProLiant DL140 G2 servers. New Features - ProLiant DL140 G2 Lights-Out 100i Ver. 1.22 =========================================== None. Problems Fixed - ProLiant DL140 G2 Lights-Out 100i Ver. 1.22 =========================================== 1. Resolved an issue where the serial com port would hang after powering down the server and then exiting the BMC session. 2. Resolved an issue where the BMC would become unresponsive when using the SMASH CLP load command to flash new firmware and the TFTP server returned an error of "file not found". 3. Resolved an issue where the DHCP status shown by the CLP was sometimes incorrect. 4. Removed the reset verb from the BMC CLP target directories. 5. Changed the BMC CLP command prompt to /./-> 6. Updated the BMC firmware for the latest SMSC chip revision. 7. Resolved an issue where system would not correctly PXE boot when the BMC interface was set to Shared. Known Problems - 1. If the user tries to remotely establish a remote console EMS connection with a server running Windows 2003 SP1, the session will disconnect the first time this is attempted. Subsequent attempts to establish and log in to EMS will work. Will be fixed in an upcoming maintenance release. HOW TO USE: 1. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette. 2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is SP31930.EXE. 3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file: SP31930 [ENTER] You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to create diskette. 4.
