To check for existing NVIDIA packages, at the prompt type: 'rpm -qa | grep nvidia' 2. Remove any previous NVIDIA package. For example, at the prompt type: 'rpm -e nvidia-7667-1.1.x86_64.rpm' 3. To install the new package, at the prompt type: 'rpm -ivh nvidia-8174-1.1.x86_64.rpm' NOTE: The previous steps install the package file on the workstation, but they do not configure the new driver. 4. Configure the new package by executing the following script: '/opt/hp/graphics/nvidia/configure' NOTE: Step 4 places/builds and configures the NVIDIA accelerated graphics module. It also moves any current XF86Config file aside and puts a standard NVIDIA file in place.
