This package creates files that contain a binary image for the System BIOS (ROM) for the listed notebook models with a 68DTT Family ROM. This package is used to flash the System ROM on target notebooks in a network. It requires System Software Manager (SSM). NOTE: After updating the BIOS to version F.0D, the Quick Launch Buttons softwaremust be updated by downloading the most current version of the Quick LaunchButtons SoftPaq from the HP website.NOTE: To determine the ROM family and ROM date, press F10 on the targetnotebook during startup to run the Setup Utility, and then view File/System Information.

HOW TO USE:
NOTE: To flash the System BIOS on a target notebook in a network, the
System BIOS image must be used with SSM.

1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Copy the SoftPaq to the file store.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS
PROCEDURE!

After updating the BIOS to version F.0D, complete the following steps:

1. Remove the current version of the Quick Launch Buttons application from the
notebook.

2. From the HP website, download the latest version of the Quick Launch Buttons
SoftPaq.

3. Install the Quick Launch Buttons SoftPaq.
