NOTE: If you initiate a GPRS connection manually, the GPRS session does not disconnect automatically after a data download is complete. In this case, you must manually disconnect the GPRS connection. To connect or disconnect a GPRS connection manually, from the Today screen, tap the Connectivity icon in the Navigation bar and then, from the pop-up menu, tap "Connect GPRS" or "disconnect GPRS." PREREQUISITES: - The HP iPAQ hw6500 Mobile Messenger Series handheld must be configured with a Global System for Mobile (GSM) Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Card. - A SIM card with the GPRS/EDGE data feature that is activated by a mobile phone service provider that supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE data services is required. - The host desktop PC or notebook must have ActiveSync 3.8 (or later) installed. - The host desktop PC or notebook must be running the Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows 2000 Operating System. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. 2. Ensure that the HP iPAQ hw6500 Mobile Messenger handheld is connected to the desktop PC or notebook. 3.
