This package contains a modified driver for the listed handheld models and operating systems that automatically disconnects a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connection after a data download is complete. It is beingprovided because some cellular service providers in France charge GPRS usage based on time, rather than basing it on volume (per kilobyte). NOTE: This package is recommended only for French language HP iPAQ hw6500 Mobile Messenger series handhelds.

ENHANCEMENTS:
- GPRS connections initiated by programs (for example, Pocket Internet Explorer
or ActiveSync) are automatically disconnected after a data download is
complete.

NOTE: If you initiate a GPRS connection manually, the GPRS session does not
disconnect automatically after a data download is complete. In this case,
you must manually disconnect the GPRS connection.

To connect or disconnect a GPRS connection manually, from the Today screen,
tap the Connectivity icon in the Navigation bar and then, from the pop-up
menu, tap "Connect GPRS" or "disconnect GPRS."
PREREQUISITES:
- The HP iPAQ hw6500 Mobile Messenger Series handheld must be configured with
a Global System for Mobile (GSM) Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Card.
- A SIM card with the GPRS/EDGE data feature that is activated by a mobile
phone service provider that supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE data services is required.
- The host desktop PC or notebook must have ActiveSync 3.8 (or later) installed.
- The host desktop PC or notebook must be running the Microsoft Windows XP or
Microsoft Windows 2000 Operating System.

HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Ensure that the HP iPAQ hw6500 Mobile Messenger handheld is connected to
the desktop PC or notebook.

3. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to
install the software.
