DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of HP ProLiant
               DL360 G4 Servers.


New Features -


        ProLiant DL360 G4 ROM P52 (08/16/2005)
        ============================================

                1) Added support for new revisions of Intel Xeon processors.

		2) Added support for iSCSI adapters to be configured as the 
		   boot controller in the ROM-Based Setup Utility (RBSU).  
		   Certain iSCSI adapters previously would not show up in 
		   the boot controller menu in RBSU.



Problems Fixed -


        ProLiant DL360 G4 ROM P52 (08/16/2005)
        ============================================

                1) Resolved issue which could result in intermittent server hangs 
		   using iLO virtual media.

		2) Resolved issue with blue screens occurring during installation 
		   of certain non-English versions of Windows 2003 (the issue was 
		   observed with Spanish and Brazilian/Portuguese versions of 
		   Windows 2003 SP1) when not using SmartStart Assisted Install.

		3) Resolved an issue with the Matrox Parahelia video card which could 
		   result in improper video operation.  One symptom of the issue is 
		   that screen information may not be updated during POST.

		4) Resolved an issue where QLogic and Emulex Fibre Channel PCI-Express 
		   cards that may intermittently hang during POST.

		5) Resolved an issue that could result in a system hang when 
		   booting media from certain IDE DVD drives.

		6) Resolved an issue where uncorrectable memory errors may be reported 
		   on the incorrect DIMMs when using Microsoft Windows 2003 x64 Edition.
		   		
		7) Resolved issue where Microsoft's future Windows Server 
		   operating system code-named "Longhorn" would not install 
		   properly.  This operating system is not close to shipping 
		   and Microsoft has just released the Beta 1 version.



HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP31196.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP31196 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP31196.EXE if you wish.
